Friday 6 August 1999
Continuing our stroll around the town of Rye.
Many buildings in this part of England are covered in wooden weatherboarding. |
In one of the many bookshops I found a couple of Billy Bunter books!
"I say you fellows - Yarooh!!!"
Then unexpectedly we came to Rye Castle - and found it small, but the perfect image of
a castle! |

Just beyond the castle was a small garden complete with a brace of cannon. Here the rest of the family line up whilst I take aim... |
The old inn looked very inviting and I stopped to admire
the old timbers and carvings. |
| As the rest of the family totally ignored it and carried
on up the hill - I took a wistful sniff at the door...
Well, that's Friday over and done with... What's that? We have to go
home tomorrow??? |
