A bit of mist but it lies in a layer of cloud, sometimes above and sometimes below us.

I recognise that burnt bacon!

We're in Zell-am-See for the morning but it's a little colder than the last time we were here!

In fact the lake that we saw people swimming in was just a sheet of solid ice stretching into the mist.

Fran's nose was cold...

A sign advertised carriage rides across the ice. Steve and the lads were playing cricket on the lake with lumps of ice.

Right: the streets looked more inviting in August 2000!

Fran went in this shop to buy some chopping boards. The artist is using a hot iron to burn in our names on the board.
In the town square a group of ice sculptures stood.
They were a bit abstract - though one looked like a bench - we thought it might be a bit cold on the bum though!

Then it's back on to the coach and we climb the mountains until the mist becomes a carpet beneath us.
